Our 45-minute yoga classes are complete strengthening, stretching, and stress-relieving workouts that are fast, invigorating, and a great addition to your day.
Our approach is lighthearted and non-dogmatic, and we welcome everyone, no matter what age, ability, background, or level of bendiness. Our classes are all-levels and pre-natal appropriate, and in each one you'll receive gentle assists and modifications to make sure you're strong and safely aligned in every posture.
Many yoga classes focus on achieving forms of poses, but we take a different approach. Our classes focus on the underlying function of each pose: working from principles of modern biomechanics and physical therapy, we emphasize how the yoga poses facilitate your overall health and well-being. Poses are modified to suit each student's individual needs, and the sequences are designed to move the body through its full range of motion to alleviate aches and pains, improve mobility, build strength, and prevent injury.
Healium classes also incorporate mindfulness meditation - simple, non-religious techniques that are easy to learn and scientifically proven to help people manage the stress in their lives.

It begins halfway across the world, in New Zealand. We first visited the Land of the Long White Cloud in 2007, when Jenifer got a six-week contract to teach yoga in Nelson, in the South Island. After the gig was finished, we spent two more weeks touring the North Island, falling in love with the capital city, Wellington.
We would return less than three years later, purchasing an existing massage and acupuncture business. This we revitalized into Healium, a popular holistic health collective offering a range of healing practices to the city's busy professionals, government workers, athletes, and everyday people.
In late 2013 we moved back to Ryan's native Pennsylvania eager to continue Healium in the United States and affirmed in our belief that the journey of "lifting body and spirit" is transformative.
We view yoga as a skill to be learned, a tool to be used in healing the body, calming the mind, and liberating the spirit. It complements our lives, training us to stay present during the challenges that inevitably arise in our world. Again and again we observe ourselves and come back to the moment. Again and again we come back home.
